  When entering the theatre I was disappointed to see Billy Porter was not performing. The role was being filled by standby Timothy Ware. By the time he sung “the sex is in the heel” Mr. Ware had won me over as a new fan! An absolutely incredible performance that captured the bold and tough nature of Lola while helping the audience feel empathy for the vulnerable and sensitive side of Simon. His performance was first rate along with the rest of the company. I laughed, she’d a tear or two, and left the theater with a great big smile. Thanks for a great afternoon in the Hirschfeld. I’ve been all about the show and Mr. Ware’s tour-de-force performance! Can’t wait to see Kinky Boots a second time.

  WE LOVED IT! PERIOD. We were a party of 3 (20, 37 & 59 Years old) & all of us had the same conclusion,….. It Was Fantastic. The show was incredible & I would see it again in a heartbeat. All performers were outstanding & constantly had us laughing & feeling emotional. There is no bad seat in this theatre. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Although we’ve experienced musical theatre in West End London and our hometown, this was our first Broadway show and it left the others wanting. I could not recommend Kinky Boots highly enough.

  The music and the songs were excellent and the actors were superb, especially Billy Porter (Lola). Stark Sands (Charlie) was solid, while Annaleigh Ashford (Lauren) and Daniel Stewart Sherman (Don) are the very definition of supporting actors as they often carried the show. Ms. Ashford’s performance was beyond inspired. She obviously studied the style of pop singing legend Cyndi Lauper, who provided both fun and passion in her award-winning music and lyrics. True entertainment. The Tonys for this musical were truly deserved.

  I saw the show over the weekend and two days later I am still beaming! It was such a FUN and UPLIFTING time! The entire cast was incredible and delivered their performances with such heart but Billy Porter’s Lola stole the show.

  Go see KINKY BOOTS – it’s not going to the theatre, more like going to an uplifting party. Took a friend who didn’t know the story last night, and we absolutely LOVED it! The cast delivers, and Billy Porter’s Lola phenomenal. Kudos to the creative team on the costumes, music and story.
